A little bit about the projects: 

 

Vineyard Offshore brings industry-leading experience to the emerging US-based offshore wind market. Owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, half of the joint venture behind the Vineyard Wind 1 project, Vineyard Offshore is focused on developing projects that will deliver clean, renewable, and cost-effective offshore wind power around North America. In addition to Vineyard Wind 1, Vineyard Offshore currently owns three additional US lease areas that together can generate at least 3.5 gigawatts of offshore wind energy to power a minimum of 2 million homes along the Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic and Northern California coasts. 

 

 

 

A little bit about Department: 

 

The Finance team plays a pivotal role in overseeing core functions like accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and project finance. Our focus is to drive strategic partnership with the core business by managing costs effectively, achieving financial stability and transparency while supporting and empowering professionals on multiple projects at different phases of development. The team is focused on its fiduciary responsibilities to our internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory authorities. 

 

 

A little bit about the Job: 

 

Location: Boston 

 

Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days… wherever!) 

 

Travel requirements: No 

 

Employment Type: Full-time, salaried, permanent 

 

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer  

 

 

 

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Prepare financial statements to support the management, equity     owners, debt compliance, co- investors, and independent auditors 
  • Establish and oversee the accounting calendar, including all processes     and systems 
  • Create and maintain accounting documentation, including developing     and evolving policies and     procedures 
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a team of professional accountants for     the growing business   
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting tools,     and analytical techniques to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Proactively prepare the company for annual audit and future project     financial close   
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data and     reports  
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant accounting standards and     regulations  
  • Assist in upcoming ERP System Implementation and Optimization   

 

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, advanced degree a plus
  • CPA Required   
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in financial     accounting, ideally three plus in a people leadership role  
  • Proficiency with MS Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and     SharePoint, with advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint  
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all     levels of the organization  
  • Authentic curiosity, proven problem-solving, and analytical abilities  
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills   
  • Capable of managing multiple project workstreams across the     development portfolio  
  • Hybrid work model; must be able to work in our Boston office a     minimum of three days per week
