Overview:

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will support the visual team in all store sets through visual merchandising and creative tasks. The VM Coordinator will also order seasonal and new store opening collateral and work with vendors to assure timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports Visual Merchandising in pre-season line adoption sets and in-season compass sets
  • Assists with dressing and styling mannequins - steaming and pinning
  • Photographs all mannequin looks, uploads and organizes (by month, climate and tier) for visual team and company lookbook 
  • Supports creative installs - including painting, hanging, rigging, etc. 
  • Assists with workshops and in person or virtual training sessions to support visual leads in teaching visual merchandising and creative techniques.
  • Responsible for Mock Store and showroom maintenance including sample organization and return, keeping all working areas neat, clean and organized
  • Partners with merchandising, wholesale, creative and sample teams to collect samples for each line adoption and compass set. Owns meetings as needed and is the point person for samples on the team. 
  • Supports visual team leads and field team to create training materials by filming, writing and/or formatting new and existing tools when needed.
  • Attends weekly meetings with cross-functional partners for and along with the team.. Delivers key messages back to the team from allocations, merchandising and marketing when needed.
  • Assists with sourcing and purchasing seasonal and permanent props. Will partner with Procurement team to source and order in bulk when necessary.
  • Will assist with new store openings - both with ordering props and creative elements as well as on site merchandising
  • Will attend seasonal resets, market visits and event set ups to support visual merchandising, mannequins,
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining any prop, creative or marketing tracker, distribution or discard list (organizing by vendor preference, adding new stores, removing closed stores, etc.)

What you bring: 

  • Visual design skills with a retail, visual or merchandising background
  • Ability to install creative (patch & paint, hanging, displays, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Other visual design tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite 
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Strong listening, written and oral communication skills required
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to innovate and challenge current norms to drive positive change and efficacy 
  • Team-oriented with the ability to interact with partners across the organization at all levels
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
