The Studio Art Specialist Also
- Assists, teaches, and supervises artists in all areas.
- Provide coverage/assistance, as needed to support opening and closing of facility, daily coverage responsibilities.
- Leads exhibition schedule, theme & timeline for in-house shows. Selects artwork, oversees framing, presentation, and installation
- Supports facilitators as needed in relevant areas.
- Commissions pieces (direct correspondence & delegation).
- Assists in training, supporting new facilitators/ job coaches when hired.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in studio daily.
- Works at annual events during evenings, as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in art or art therapy. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.
- One to three years of experience in human services field required. Prior experience teaching strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Art, Art History, Outside Art History, skills in art production, studio art center standards and practices.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications within two weeks of hire and Saftey Care certification with 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, SORI, education verification, employment verification and reference checks.
