The part-time Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment on location for events and functions including concerts, sports events, watch parties, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences. This position requires part-time availability that may include nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
GAME/EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- PT AV Tech will initially start at Sparkman Wharf doing Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening shifts.
- Some Arena shifts will be assigned as KSA increase regarding VSG operations and SOPs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and install equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, pulling and connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences
- Set up and operate basic sound equipment for events
- Confer with meeting/concert director or Event team to establish cues and directions
- Ensure equipment is installed according to the designated layout
- Test and resolve basic equipment issues
- Mix sound inputs and feeds and monitor sound feeds to ensure quality
- Clean audio & other equipment and ensure its proper storage
- Ensure the safe transfer and shipment of equipment
- Ensure the safe storage and integrity of data
- Maintain inventory of equipment and report equipment that require repairs
- Provide all end-users and guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
- Any additional tasks deemed necessary for proper performance of AV department responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years old with high school diploma or GED required
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background check screening
- 1-3 years of related AV experience required
- Motivated and positive, high-energy attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments
- Detail oriented w/ excellent organizational skills
