Dispatcher

Utilize and support our professional drivers by assigning drivers routes, destinations, and timelines. Build relationships with customers and our drivers to keep up-to-date information on routes and schedules.

Responsibilities : 1. Dispatching :

1. Dispatching :

• Coordinate and schedule drivers for pick-up and delivery assignments.
• Monitor driver routes and provide real-time updates to ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
• Address and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, such as delays or changes in schedule.

2. Communication :

• Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers and the organization.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and information about routes, schedules, and any changes.
• Respond promptly to driver inquiries and address concerns in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
• Ensure that drivers adhere to company policies and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Act as a liaison between drivers and management, conveying feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.

4. Documentation :

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of driver activities, including pick-up and delivery times, delays, and incidents.
• Generate reports on driver performance, route efficiency, and other relevant metrics.

5. Problem Resolution :

• Address and resolve any issues that may impact transportation operations, working closely with drivers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any vehicle-related concerns promptly.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in dispatching and transportation coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with transportation management software and systems.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Education and Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the transportation industry is preferred.
