Facilities Maintenance

Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance position will clean and maintain buildings by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash cans, dusting, and cleaning restrooms at multiple office locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs general, routine cleaning including, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming of various office locations
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms
• Restocks paper and soap supplies
• Empties trash receptacles and places trash in appropriate dumpster
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies
• Reports any issues with the building to supervisor and facilities maintenance
• Orders custodial supplies and paper products
• Performs seasonal cleaning duties as necessary

Education and/or Experience

· Some High School, Diploma or GED

· Prior custodial experience preferred

Language Skills

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret directions.

Mathematical Skills

· Basic math skills to add, subtract, divide and multiply

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Competencies

· Ability to operate common custodial equipment

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary

· Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

· Positive attitude and team oriented

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Current Driver’s License to travel to various company locations or be able to provide own transportation.
