VIP Nails Receptionist Job Description
VIP Nails is a comfortable and clean full-service nail salon located in Herndon / Oak Hill. We are looking for an organized salon receptionist to provide customer and administrative support. In this role, you will be required to greet and welcome clients, answer the phone, secure bookings, manage appointment schedules, and process transactions.
To ensure success as a salon receptionist, you should possess excellent organizational and inter-person skills. A top-notch salon receptionist should be able to remain calm in stressful situations and provide excellent customer service and support.
Looking for Full-time/Part-time, weekdays, weekends. Available shifts:
- Monday - Friday 10a-8p
- Saturday - 9a-7p
- Sunday: 10a-6p
- (half-day shifts ok on weekdays: 10a-3p / 3p-8a)
Salon Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Tending to customer needs, inquiries, and complaints.
- Being attentive throughout the salon; awareness of activities
- Informing technicians about customer appointments and requirements.
- Managing phone calls.
- Processing bookings, cancellations, and managing appointment schedules.
- Ensuring that the reception area is kept clean and professional.
- Processing transactions and issuing receipts.
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, updating records, and logging transactions.
- Perform end-of-day financial closing: balancing cash, credit card, and gift card transaction with appointment system.
- Secure receipts and cash and lock door at end of the day.
Salon Receptionist Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist.
- Familiarity with processing transactions
- Ability to learn and utilize DaySmart appointment program.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Excellent customer service and skills.
- Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
- Consistent professional presentation and pleasant demeanor.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Able to speak Vietnamese desired (not required).

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend
