Must Have Some Hospital Pharmacy Experience

At Least 3 Years Of Experience

 Interacts with other pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to provide safe and effective care, including recommending and monitoring drug therapy, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, drug policy and order set development, etc.

Provides oversight of order entry and verification of chemotherapy/infusion orders as well as preparation and dispensing of medication. Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

Actively participates in various service line related committees or groups as pharmacy representative

  • Provides counseling and education to patients and caregivers regarding chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications and supportive care. Provides drug-related education to staff.

Participates in maintenance of department compliance with federal, state, accrediting organization, and other regulatory law and/or standards, with particular interest in compliance with USP sterile compounding and hazardous drug standards.

Supports budget targets through inventory and formulary management, waste reduction, and efficient workflow design.

Provides leadership, training, and support for strategic/quality initiatives of pharmacy and oncology/infusion departments.

Serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
