What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN First Assist (RNFA) position at VIR Consultant LLC?
Position Summary:
Assists the surgeon in the first assistant role, as defined by the privileges established through Medical Staff Office/credentialing process, as an Allied Health professional. The RNFA can act only as the RNFA, not a scrub or circulating RN, during a surgical procedure, concurrently.
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
Minimum three years experience as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. Successful completion of a RNFA course; see credentialing by Medical Staff bylaws/privileges.
Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
(1) PALS
