Central State Hospital (CSH), a State of Virginia mental health hospital located near Petersburg, VA, is recruiting for an Administrative & Office Specialist III (Inventory Specialist).
This position is responsible for the daily input of inventory transactions into a Financial Management System (FMSII) Inventory Control Module. It maintains database accuracy including complete product specifications, unit of issue, and pack quantities. This position performs and administers monthly spot checks, quarterly and year-end physical inventories, distributes warehouse stock catalog as required, complete financial reports, and ensures cost center changes are reported to Financial Services with documentation for internal and external audit.

Must have: math skills with the ability to perform basic mathematics including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Considerable knowledge of inventory control and database management. Good working knowledge of computers and PC Programs such as Excel, Access, MS Word. Possess skills in data entry functions as they relate to inventory, accounting, and reporting.
