are seeking you for our Warren County Health Department office! The Warren County Health Department is a part of the Lord Fairfax Health District. You would be an integral part of our team by exhibiting your nursing skills, being able to prioritize the workload, and by exhibiting excellent customer service skills. This full time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with occasional evening and weekend work providing community outreach events and or in home visits.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a valid Virginia RN License or be eligible for a Virginia RN license
- Have current (within 6 months) clinical skills
- Strong written, oral, and computer skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must have a valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Knowledge of nursing across the life span, immunizations, family planning, and
- Experience in providing health education including patient teaching
- Able to multitask and be organized while providing quality public health services to the
- Experience with clinical/case management, public health experience
- Advance formal education
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Special Requirements
Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of a state and federal criminal history background check and the Department of Social Service’s Child abuse and Neglect Central Registry check, U.S, HHS IG Exclusion List Check, employment reference check and E-Verify. Other financial, credit, driving, or other background checks prior to employment may be required for certain positions. Completion of Statement of Economic Interests will be required upon employment.
A valid State Driver’s License is required to operate state vehicles or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
VDH requires all Health-Care Personnel (HCP) to provide documentation of immunization or evidence of immunity to the following: hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella; a one-time dose of tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine regardless of the interval since the last dose of tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccine was administered (Td or Tdap boosters shall be received every 10 years); and the current year’s seasonal influenza vaccination.
In accordance with Executive Directive #18, as a condition of employment, the Commonwealth of Virginia requires all Executive Branch employees, including new hires, to disclose their vaccination status. If you are the selected candidate, proof of vaccination will be required during new employee orientation on your first day of work. Employees that are not vaccinated must be tested weekly.
