Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Chemo Education Nurse to join our Norfolk office.

Responsibilities:
- Assess patient and family needs and learning styles
- Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice provider in a timely manner.
- Document all elements of care.
- Create an environment that promotes continuous learning.
- Advocate to identify information gaps and patient concerns.
- Prepare patients and care providers for upcoming treatment.
- Teach patients and their families about prevention and management of medical situations such as toxicity recognition and management.
- Obtain treatment consent from patients.
- Hybrid role providing services in both outpatient and remote settings.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required, BSN preferred.
- Oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Current RN state license required.
- Current BCLS certification required.
