Field Tech

Virtucom is actively looking for entry-level field techs. Join a team of hard workers who are dedicated to our mission of combining the newest technology with education. Virtucom is growing fast in multiple regions as well as the Midwest and Texas. Our field techs are one of the faces of the company, as they interact with school personnel to ensure their technology is functioning correctly. The techs work daily on the company’s projects at their assigned school site.

Requirements

Looking for a candidate to:

• Provide Level I technical support for hardware and software including workstations, laptops, netbooks, tablets, and personal and network printers/copiers.
• Support in and out of warranty devices.
• Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Pursue IT manufacturer repair certifications as needed (Lenovo, HP, etc).
• Ability to quickly learn new skills in the field.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of computers and basic networking skills
• Understanding of Printers and configurations
• Understanding of IFPD solutions
• Understanding of Audio, Video, and Lighting systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Windows 7 thru 11
• Preferred : Comptia A Certified
• Lenovo repair certifications preferred
• Must pass a background check

Hours:

• 8am-4pm is typical, however, hours may vary based on your school site’s needs.
