What are the responsibilities and job description for the Taproom Associate position at Virtue Cider?
Virtue Cider is located in Fennville, MI on a 48-acre Farm that is home to our cider making operation, our taproom and bottleshop, an array of trails and gardens, and our heritage breed animals.
Virtue Cider Farm is hiring Taproom Associates! Associates work the bar at Virtue in an elevated service style, with extended knowledge of our cider brands, while being able to uphold an expression of genuine hospitality. We are looking for people to portray a love for our proper farmhouse ciders, agriculture, and food pairings. Individuals with high volume experience are preferred, and weekend availability is a must.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and serve guests and complete all guest interactions with a warm personality and customer service intuition
- Communicate brand knowledge articulately and accurately to guests
- Work within a team environment with a go-getter attitude
- Navigate a high volume setting with patience with repetitive motion, attention to cleanliness and detail, efficient use of POS, and premium organizational habits
- Represent oneself and the brand appropriately by keeping positivity through high volume shifts
Qualifications
- 2 years serving experience preferred
- Must be legal drinking age
- Experience in restaurant/retail/customer service preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve and deal with unique customer situations
- Ability to stand and walk (much of it outside) for long periods of time, and lifting of up to 50 lbs
