Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in preparing and maintaining the surgical environment, ensuring the smooth execution of procedures, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Surgical Suite Preparation: Meticulously prepares the operating room, ensuring sterility, arranging necessary equipment, and verifying that all instruments are in perfect working order.
• Patient Care: Assist in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients for surgery, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
• Surgical Assistance: Act as a vital member of the surgical team, anticipating the surgeon's needs and providing instruments and supplies efficiently throughout the procedure.
• Specimen Handling: Carefully receive and process specimens, ensuring proper labeling and timely delivery to the laboratory.
• Inventory Management: Maintain and organize surgical instruments and equipment, upholding strict sterilization protocols.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must-Haves:
• Surgical Technologist Certification in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Graduate of an accredited program in Surgical Technology
