Job Description
This is a Leadership role on the global Corporate FP&A team. This role manages the reporting and analysis of business drivers including financial data and economic statistics. The Director of Finance provides insights and recommendations to executive leadership and evaluates business driver targets globally through prism of regional views for market segments. The role holder will also be responsible for running short- and long-term range forecasts to support reporting and planning cycles.
Essential Functions
- Lead the quantitative analysis of Visa’s key business drivers for global reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Assess economic and Visa specific business drivers and their corresponding impact on Visa financials
- Deliver forecast analytics and insights that result in a corporate perspective of the forecast/budget
- Lead the production of the key business drivers (e.g., volumes, transactions, etc.) for use in strategic planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting
- Track year to date and monthly performance by regions and geographies to understand variances and analyze business drivers
- Track risks and opportunities to assess macroeconomic drivers and their corresponding impact on Visa financials at industry, and micro segment levels
- Proactively identify and propose areas to develop the regional and global outlook
- Manage the forecast and budget process for the regions, ensuring all finance business partners process their inputs and analytics in compliance with published deadlines and corporate guidelines
- Build and maintain relationships with finance business partners to ensure they are aware of budget forecasts timelines and data requirements, and understand the need to adhere to them
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and promote a professional finance organization.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in FP&A, Consulting, or Investment Banking
Preferred Qualifications
- 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
- Bachelor of Finance or equivalent degree
- Qualified Accountant degree is recommended (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent local qualifications)
- Minimum 8 years of related Finance experience in a multinational organization
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Proven commercial business acumen
- Strong PC and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
