Job Description
Visa is seeking a highly motivated Senior Event Manager to drive planning and execution of Visa’s Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) events. The CMS Senior Events Manager will lead event strategy and operational support for CMS’s internal events and external client and partner conferences. This role will work closely with CMS marketing, communications, and sales teams and require a customer-centric focus and a strategic mindset while managing the planning, execution, onsite management, and post-event activities to accelerate sales and deepen client/partner relationships.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the planning, production, and execution of CMS internal and external events
Plan and facilitate logistics for all events including contract negotiations, venue selection and preparation, presentation materials, sales and client activities, catering, and entertainment
Develop event project plans including strategy, goals, timeline and roles and responsibilities
Facilitate attendee communications and guest experience touch points including event attendee logistics and registration
Lead communication and manage relationship with vendors and suppliers throughout the event planning cycle
Invoice and budget tracking. Escalating unforeseen changes to necessary stakeholders
Event design and audience experience development, working with stakeholders to determine needs and desired outcomes for event audience
Act as the project lead, ensuring all partners and stakeholders are informed of due dates and communicating around them as needed
Attendee communications, registration management and mailbox management
Manage the event concept development and execution according to client and project goals including overall event activation
Post event activities, surveys and reporting on outcomes event success
Source and manage vendors and adeptly control contract negotiations
Manage project budget throughout, providing client with updates and strategic recommendations
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
