Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and customer focused Cloud Technical Product Owner to join our Professional Services team. The candidate should have a strong technical background in cloud platforms and cloud data domains, should be a thought leader, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and be an analytical and structured thinker.
The right candidate should possess a strong Cloud Technical Product Management background, with demonstrated expertise in contributing to medium to large cross-functional projects. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence as Technical Product Manager in the payments, cloud solutions, data solutions, internet, or related industries. The successful candidate must be a hands-on person with proven ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives.
Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this position, this individual must be highly effective working both independently and in cross-functional capacities to identify, define, analyze, prioritize, and refine technology requirements, facilitate, develop, and deliver roadmaps for our client engagements around cloud services and solutions.
Successful candidates will be skilled at forging strong partnerships with business sponsors, product managers, solution architects, and developers to define feature sets, story maps, detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) to support the development process. This function will address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit.
Beyond the design and planning stages of the development lifecycle, strong Agile expertise is required to collaborate with Scrum teams and communicate requirements to development teams for execution and implementation.
This role will also help define the roadmap priorities and ensure that it remains aligned with the Client's broader strategy and priorities. This individual will foster innovation, collaboration, leverage new technologies and champion impactful change to build Visa's technology brand through internal and external initiatives.
Primary responsibilities are to define user stories, create and manage a product backlog.
Ensures user stories meet the definition of ready criteria and have well defined acceptance criteria.
Be hands-on with describing business rules as technical artifacts for analysts, business product managers, and any functional team that depends on this information.
Discuss technical implementation details with architects, developers, and other technical teams.
Synthesize requirements into acommon set of platform and services capabilities.
Candidates will be responsible for value proposition definition, communications across technical, business and product functions, cost/benefit analysis, and executive presentations.
Define product requirementswhich involve writing clear, thorough, and detailed user storiesfor complex features and product sets.
Partner with scrum masters in sprint team ceremonies including daily stand ups, planning sessions with squads and work with the team to decompose stories into development tasks.
Prioritize the work for multiple agile IT development teams.
Participate in daily scrum meetings for the teams executing on projects being driven.
Work very closely withdevelopment and QA organization as a Product Owner to ensure technical specifications andfinal product meet business requirements.
Highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts across functions.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
* 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
* 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
* 5 years of experience in Cloud implementations with one or more of the following platforms - Google, Azure, AWS
* 5 years of experience with Jira management, software development life cycle, and agile development process
* 3 years of experience building data product capabilities
* Knowledge of the latest trends and tooling including Cloud implementation and Cloud-based data platform architectures
* A deep understanding of cloud-based data platform architectures,
* Certifications in Google, Azure Cloud, or AWS
* Knowledge of cloud data technologies, such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage
* Experience interacting with external vendors.
* Knowledge of cloud native architecture, cloud tooling and DevOps
* Broad technical expertise spanning data engineering, data platforms and analytics.
* Experience in the following technology domains: Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, AI/ML, or Data Governance or equivalent
* Experience working in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space (in one or more of the following areas- Core Payments, Alternative Payments, Merchant & Partner portals, Reporting and Reconciliation, Risk & Fraud management, Payment Security, Tokenization etc.).
* Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
* Proficiency working in an agile environment.
* Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 125,500.00 to 163,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
