Process Technician

Join an internationally recognized designer, manufacturer and marketer of resistive foil technology, sensors and sensor-based systems as a Process Technician at VPG’s location in Wendell, NC. The Process Technician will support daily production by preparing equipment for operation, creating/modifying fixturing and tooling, assisting in workflow, working on technical problems, focusing on quality issues, helping mill operators and working on direct production. In addition, this position will support policies & procedures to promote continuous improvements to quality and output of product.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Perform equipment set up and alignment
• Assist and provide guidance to mill operators
• Provide support to Supervisor
• Working direct production with rolling, lapping, grinding, slitting, cleaning, cutting, inspection and inventory support
• Assist with equipment maintenance

• Minimum High School Graduate/Equivalent
• 2 Year Technical Degree/Certificate in Manufacturing or related field preferred
• 2 – 4 years related experience
• Good manual dexterity and mechanically inclined
• Ability to work with hand tools and measuring instruments
• Characteristics indicative of the ability to work as part of a team, show initiative, be assertive and exhibit patience
• Adhere to schedules, policies and procedures, and attention to detail
• Lifting up to 40 pounds
