Global Manager Carrier Strategy and Procurement

Managed and maintain carrier relationships with current providers. Procure, negotiate rates and services with regional and local carriers. Negotiate rates and T&C’s. Review WBR’s< MBR’s and QBR’s to manage carrier performance. Work with Maersk legal team to complete carriers’ contracts. Support internal teams on carrier related questions. Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for all carrier relations inquiries Respond to carrier requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner Negotiate service contracts with carriers Monitor carrier performance and compliance with company policies Work with other departments to resolve issues with shipments Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments Keep abreast of changes in transportation regulations Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers Handle customer complaints and escalate as necessary Prepare reports on carrier performance Assist in the development of new business opportunities Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, or related field 5 years experience in carrier relations, logistics, or similar role Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
