Data Scientist (O365/A365 Expert)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with expertise in Office 365 (O365) or Army 365 (A365), particularly within an Army enterprise environment, to join our team at Fort Huachuca. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with Microsoft technologies, and certifications in Microsoft and/or Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets within Office 365 or Army 365 environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve complex problems and optimize business processes.
• Design and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize and communicate key findings effectively.
• Conduct thorough data validation, quality assurance, and performance tuning to ensure accuracy and efficiency of analytical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and end-users on data science best practices and Microsoft technologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, cloud computing, and Microsoft products.

Qualifications:

• Three plus years of experience in data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Office 365 or Army 365 platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and related services.
• Experience with data manipulation, transformation, and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft technologies, with certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Associate, or equivalent.
• Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience working in a military or government contracting environment.
• Familiarity with Army data management policies, procedures, and security requirements.
• Knowledge of Army 365-specific tools and applications, such as Army Knowledge Online (AKO) and Army Training Network (ATN).
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, particularly Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
