Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Controller will be responsible for managing the company's accounting function, leading the accounting team, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's accounting systems, including QuickBooks, Sage, and other accounting software.
- Oversee and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and manage the company's budget and forecast.
- Analyze and review financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is meeting its objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business decisions.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and complete.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior accounting role.
- Strong background in accounting and financial management, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage.
- Knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of successfully managing accounting teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
