Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and networks.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic cables and networks
- Perform splicing, termination, testing, and documentation of fiber optic cables
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure network stability and reliability
- Provide technical support for network installations and upgrades
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to complete fiber optic projects efficiently
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge for handling fiber optic equipment
- Experience in telecommunication and computer networking
- Proficiency in using a voltmeter for testing purposes
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and network installation procedures
- Familiarity with telephone systems and Ethernet technology
- Ability to work with Cisco routers for network configurations
- Skilled in utilizing various hand tools for fiber optic tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
