Character of Position

As a Tool Builder, you will be responsible for building tools or fixtures to facilitate improved efficiency and quality of end-products.

Responsibilities

• Execute build as represented in manufacturing plan and on prints for most medium and difficult complexity jobs
• Operate most manual machines including lathes, presses, grinders, and Bridgeport's
• Work on a wide variety of projects with frequent, established deadlines
• Achieve quality and production goals
• Lead 3-5-person crew, providing direction and guidance
• May have potential for travel
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Effective oral and written communications
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Self-motivated but able to take direction
• Understand and work to all QMS procedures and work instructions
• Ability to read complex blueprints
• Identify and find specifications within blueprint given
• Geometric tolerances (understand and recognize some symbols)
• Understanding of general tolerances
• Comprehend simple sections and views
• Understand reference system
• Strong understanding of Catia V5 and or Enovia

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years aerospace tooling experience

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
