SUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Materials Manager
SUMMARY: This position will work in all aspects related to inventory movement within the company, from working with logistics companies to receive goods and schedule shipments out, managing the inventory within the warehouse and packaging outgoing shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Shipping - Employee will package and prepare shipments as well as handle all shipping arrangements for all outgoing of shipments according to company processes and guidelines. This will include all UPS small package shipments and larger LTL shipments.
- Schedule outgoing and prepare the appropriate bill of ladings and labels for LTL shipments
- Coordinate with sales admin on outgoing shipments
- Prepare daily shipping log and follow up on shipment tracking when necessary
- Receiving – Employee will handle the receipt and processing of all items received in from both vendors as well as returns from customers.
- Check-in equipment within 24 hours of receipt on the dock and move to appropriate location
- Coordinate with customers regarding receiving/pick-up of shipments
- Document receipts of equipment into SAP proper category
- Warehouse Maintenance and Inventory Processing – Employee will be responsible for moving and stocking inventory in the proper locations as well
- Move Inventory between storage locations in SAP
- Investigate variances in stock
- Process inventory adjustments when necessary
- Review Open delivery report on a daily basis to review that all picking tickets are accounted for and communicate with sales admin and technical staff when appropriate – VL06O
- UPS issues
- Help with UPS tracking of package requests
- Purchase UPS supplies
- Reroute packages when necessary

Education and/or Experience
LEVEL 5 - INTERMEDIATE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
INTERMEDIATE
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
INTERMEDIATE
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
INTERMEDIATE
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
