POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling services, screens for human trafficking concerns, and provides crisis intervention services for youth. This position continually monitors and documents youth’s mental well-being and overall adjustment to the program. The Clinician is responsible for the development and implementation of youth therapeutic plans, facilitating transfers, and reunification planning. This role requires someone who is experienced, compassionate and can support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of youth in the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts intake admissions and diagnostic assessments with youth, documenting results according to VQ standards.
- Ensures the timely completion of Initial Intake assessments, Emergency Placements, and Individual Service Plans in accordance with VQ, state and federal requirements.
- Collaborates with staff members and youth to develop treatment plans.
- Provides weekly one-on-one counseling, crisis intervention, psycho-educational, and therapeutic groups as needed.
- Provides clinical services within VQ licensing funding source guidelines, and policies/procedures.
- Submits Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) within 4 hours upon notification of the incident, ensuring that reports are submitted to state licensing and VQ’s internal reporting mechanisms as required.
- Attends all departmental meetings and required training to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to.
- Travels as needed for training, conferences and to transport youth to destinations located within the U.S.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in social work with clinical experience in the program OR master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement OR a bachelor’s degree, plus 5 years of clinical employment experience.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
The pay range for this role is:
52,000 - 80,000 USD per year (662 VQ KAPS)
