Visit Oakdale is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Content Creator. This part-time, contract freelance position will focus on developing engaging content for the Cowboy Capital and promoting it across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, including photography, videography, photo editing, video editing, and trend identification. Additionally, occasional writing tasks such as blog posts and promotional copy may be required.
Responsibilities:
1. Content Development
- Develop high-quality and engaging content that showcases the unique attractions, events, and amenities of Oakdale and the surrounding area.
- Create visually appealing photos and videos that align with Visit Oakdale's brand identity and resonate with our target audience.
2. Social Media Management
- Manage and maintain Visit Oakdale's presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Regularly post content across all platforms, adhering to a content calendar and strategy to ensure consistent engagement and growth.
- Monitor trends and implement strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
3. Content Publishing
- Schedule and publish content across social media platforms, optimizing posts for maximum visibility and engagement.
- Utilize appropriate hashtags, tags, and captions to enhance discoverability and encourage interaction with followers.
4. Writing and Copywriting
- Occasionally write blog posts, articles, or other promotional copy as needed.
- Ensure all written content is engaging, informative, and consistent with Visit Oakdale's brand voice and messaging.
5. Collaboration
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinate with local businesses, influencers, and partners to leverage collaborative opportunities for content creation and promotion.
Requirements:
- Experience in content creation, including photography, videography, photo editing, and video editing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
