What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineering Lead position at Visron Technical LLC?
This is a Hybrid Position which requires periodic work within the Syracuse, NY facility. The hybrid schedule includes a working schedule where you would alternate between working remotely and in the Syracuse office. Therefore, candidates must reside within in reasonable drivable distance to the facility.

Project Engineering Supervisors are responsible for:
- Supervising other design / engineering personnel, as assigned, to work on projects with the Supervisor, including taking responsibilities for the completeness and accuracy of their work
- Acting as the Lead Engineer on major projects (as assigned), taking on full responsibility for interpreting specifications and all technical aspects of creating complete, functional and safe mechanical designs
- Working with Project Manager to complete drawings and calculations for submittal and manufacturing according to project schedules and budgets
- Interacting with in a professional manner and supervise as required all designers, Engineers, production personnel, contractors, or customers involved with the same or related projects
- Supporting and participate in efforts to train new engineers in design of JRC products and typical applications
- Supporting the design, manufacture and installation of all projects throughout the complete production process including travel to the work site when required
- Becoming familiar with the documented company processes and standards. Identify non-conformances and initiate Corrective Action Reports as necessary
- Contributing to the company infrastructure whenever possible through activities such as development of new products and processes, as well as maintenance of Standard Product Drawings

- Leading goal setting, performance management and continuous learning for the assigned team of engineers
- Developing and growing internal talent in the group through training efforts and coaching
- Supervising the team to meet performance, cost and quality goals
- Adhering to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or 15 years equivalent work experience
- 10 years' experience in design of theatrical rigging equipment
- Proficiency in mechanical drawing principals and CAD software, including SolidWorks & current version of AutoCAD
- Proficiency in technical math and the principals of machinery design
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
