POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for working with manufacturing professionals during the production process. This individual’s primary responsibilities will be testing raw materials and finished product to ensure they meet the industry and quality standards of Inter-Med, Inc. Other QA related tasks commensurate with knowledge and experience may be added as determined by QA Manager, including but not limited to initiating Non-conforming Material Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming product.
This position will work closely with multiple departments in a continuous improvement mode to maximize product quality and ensure regulatory compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specifications
· Monitor and comply with quality requirements in accordance with company quality assurance policies and customer specifications
· Conducts inspections at First Article, in-process, in-coming and completes the final inspections
· Document and report inspection findings and results; maintain corresponding records
· Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions
· Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by QA Manager
· Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
MINIMUM* REQUIREMENTS:*
· Must be organized, detail oriented with the ability to see the full impact of each detailed step within a process
· Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office
· Ability to use various inspection tools e.g. calipers and pin gauges
· Good interpersonal skills for interacting and coordinating work within the departments
· Must be able to identify deficiencies and develop new or revised processes and procedures to address
· Ability to work in a standing position up to 4 hours at a time
· Ability to individually lift 25 lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum experience: 1-2 years’ experience in a Quality/Regulatory position or experience preferred.
ISO experience is preferred.
Education requirements: Minimum of High School diploma or GED is required.

This is a standard Manufacturing environment which includes warehouse interaction..
