SUMMARY

The Enterprise Desktop Support Technician assists in maintaining Windows and MacBook workstations, Windows and Unix/Linux based servers, database administration, provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, email, and personal requests for technical support. Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution. Install software, printers, telephones, etc. Troubleshoot problematic PC issues and other duties as assigned. Serves as subject matter expert and/or top-tier (onsite) support. Monitors help desk request queues and responds to tickets as needed. Employee’s home office will be at Granbury, TX. Employee will rotate to other Vista Proppant & Logistics locations based on an enterprise-wide rotation schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must be knowledgeable in Win 10 & 11, MS Office, Outlook, Active Directory and familiar with help desk tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills needed with a high focus on customer service.
  • Ability to provide solutions to user problems to ensure user satisfaction and productivity
  • Experience in managing groups and user permissions
  • Advanced understanding of service delivery framework
  • Advanced understanding of networks, PCs, and hardware configuration
  • Advanced Knowledge of Active Directory administration.
  • Participation in occasional project teams
  • Work as an on-call resource
  • Travel to remote facility locations
  • Work with Dell KACE Service Request and BOMGAR Jump Client tools
  • Understanding of and ability to work with Railtronix tool suite
  • Must be able to respond to site issues in a timely manner
  • All other duties as assigned

JOB SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree preferred
  • 2 years professional experience in IT (certifications are a plus)
  • 2 years professional desktop support
  • Resourceful and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed in a fast-moving production environment that requires both individual and team-minded levels of safety consciousness.
  • The primary work environment will be office-based, with occasional exposure to logistics and production areas for training and maintenance tasks.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Must pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen, physical and background check.
