Job Title: National Sales Manager                                                                    
Reports To: Director of Business Development                                                            
Direct reports: None
Key relationships: All departments, outside reps, and customers
 
Role Purpose:
The National sales manager will use creativity and in-depth knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for new business growth. Primary responsibilities include driving revenue and building long-term client relationships.  Building trust through communication and team management skills are essential to this position.
 
Requirements:
 
Knowledge & Skills:                            
  • Demonstrable knowledge of selling process including key tools and executional structure for success.
  • Accomplished communication skills, ability to write and communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Successfully sell the value proposition at various levels within the company's & customer organizations.
  • Career success in growing sales and in achieving sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated organization skills and consistent achievement of deadlines.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • College degree (BA/BS) preferred with a concentration in business or marketing.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in sales with a preference for custom solution selling to OEM’s, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and working with distribution channels.
  • Experience with planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Travel: 20-30%

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership:  Ensure professional execution of the sales strategy. Instill a sense of urgency and accountability for revenue and profitability goal attainment.
  • Execution:  Owns and coordinates the execution of the annual sales PLAN through pipeline development and opportunity management.
  • Foster Team Cohesion:  To common company goals, company message, common understanding of the company mission and model and a commitment to teamwork. 
  • People Development:  Committed to the growth and continued enhanced performance of the individual self through continuous improvement. 
  • Sales:  Will play primary role nurturing "key" account relationships. Ensure clients hear a unified and singular message regarding company’s service, quality selection and customer promise.
  • Sales Development:  Help identify new product & sales channel opportunities to develop with the product and project management teams.
  • Competition:  Collect, report market & competitor information including product pricing & positioning
  • Reporting:  Provides regular timely updates on sales & market activities
  • Forecasts:  Develops sales plans & periodic forecasts, develops forecasts for new business & new products; provides input to company and marketing plans; responsible for travel, account planning, and participate in stage gate project reviews.
  • Market Information:  Seeks and reports market information for planning, pricing strategies, new products.
  • Follow all requirements to support Vista Quality Objectives
