Construction Field Supervisor

Vista Skywall Systems, Ltd located at Flushing, New York is looking for energetic Construction Field Supervisor to join our fast-paced and innovative team. The idea candidate will be able to plan, coordinate, direct, and manage the daily activities of the assigned work by supervising both leadsmen and crew members.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform Safety Toolbox talks with crew members.
• Complete required safety paperwork to distribute to GC.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and job sites to verify safety and to ensure that shop drawing details are being followed.
• Estimate when consumable materials need to be reordered.
• Supervise, coordinate, and/or schedule the activities of employees.
• Communicate with office personnel to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
• Responsible for the overall supervision of employees to provide the necessary guidance.
• Coordinates the field activities so that daily production objectives can be achieved.
• Ensures the job site is safe and provides an insight into the company's policies.
• Daily communication with the office and GC for site coordination and efficiency
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Qualifications and Experiences

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-3 years of related experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Critical thinking/Problem solving.
• Time management
• Bilingual in English and Chinese is required.

Salary

• Gross hourly rate: $25.00 ~ $35.00 per hour

Essential Skills.

The field supervisor should have a basic understanding of management and organizational skills with an ability to supervise and lead the team to achieve the goals and objectives of the company. He/she must be able to incorporate team participation and involve them in decision making. He/she should have effective communication skills with a vision to develop innovative plans to ensure better productivity.

Work Schedule

The work of the field supervisor may be physically strenuous, as he/she may need to stand for long hours on the field while carrying out his/her supervisory functions. in case a project needs to be completed within the given time limit. He/she must have a flexible schedule, to be available to work on weekends and holidays.
