What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supv, Quality Control position at Vistar?
Under guidance of PFG Corporate QA Team and OpCo Management, oversees the development and implementation of the OpCo's Food Safety Plan (FSP). Creates, reviews, and implements policies and procedures with the assistance of the Corporate QA Team and OpCo QA team to comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as additional certifying bodies including but not limited to: Organic Programs, Kosher Programs, B Corporation Certification, and GFSI certified auditing programs (i.e. SQF). Provides monthly reports to OpCo Management to discuss process flow and improvements to operations and facilities. Works with each department in the OpCo on the development and roll out of New Products from inception to manufacturing. Conducts and tracks regular employee trainings on Food Safety Programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Warehouse Safety Programs. Signs off on daily production paperwork and releases finished goods upon approval. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Manage the implementation of the current Food Safety Plan for the OpCo.
Navigate the OpCo's ERP System to understand traceability audits and improve documenting systems for operations.
Oversee the transition of the current FSP to adhere to most recent edition of SQF Standards, and prepare the facility to successfully achieve and maintain SQF Status.
Supervise associates including, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution

Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biology or related areas.
