What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Intern position at Visteon?
Introduction
As the Accounting Intern you will report to financial analysts and managers. This role will take place at Visteon Headquarters in Michigan located in Van Buren Township. You will be working with a variety of people in management positions as well as have the opportunity to work with other interns.

The Role
• Work alongside Visteon’s Accounting professionals and cross-functional groups
• Perform SOX controls testing to ensure controls are working as intended and to detect any gaps in the internal control process, as well as document findings
• Assist external auditors by providing support and coordinating with their team
• Assist in the financial reporting process during the quarter-end by preparing footnotes, booking journal entries, and preparing accounting reconciliations
• Other ad-hoc accounting assignment as needed
The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Accounting Internship you will have:
• Pursing an Accounting Degree
• Availability to intern at a full-time status (~40 hours weekly)
• Sophomore/Junior standing majoring in Accounting
• Ability to multi-task with different projects
• Strong writing and communication skills
