Key Accountabilities

• Implement and maintain IT data and ETL platforms; understand and deliver on the functional support and data needs of data management within Vistra.
• Follow data policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure data to support reporting and analysis is available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes and objectives
• Implement data and ETL solutions or enhancements to improve overall Vistra data architecture; conduct research and make recommendations on new data management processes and innovations.
• Work closely with vendors, service providers, the business and internal team to define and understand analytics needs in order to achieve key performance indicators and Service Level Agreements for the benefit of Vistra and its business objectives.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, update/create documentation (Business Process Designs, Functional Designs, Data Architecture)
• Participate in projects and Agile teams; make recommendations and implement changes to mitigate risks and optimize data platform performance

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• 1 year developing ETL processes using enterprise tools such as SAP Data Services, Talend, or Informatica
• 1 year working with relational databases and developing complex SQL
• Experience with cloud-native databases and development tools
• Familiarity with in-memory databases such as SAP HANA
• Proven ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

• Assist with the development and maintenance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate data from various sources.
• Work with team members to manage the data platform
• Design and develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, procedures, events, etc
• Help implement and maintain data quality, data privacy and data security measures.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Talend, etc
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and maintain reporting and BI processes using tools such as Grafana, PowerBI, etc
• Work with team members to manage the ETL and reporting platform
