Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates to work on our efforts with a Prime for their end customer, a federal agency. we are a named sub-contractor with the Prime and are backfilling the following role.
Job Title: Splunk Engineer, 100% ONSITE

*JOB DESCRIPTION*:
The Splunk Engineer will architect, design and maintain Splunk infrastructure, gather requirements from customers, onboard data, and assist end users with searches, dashboards, reports, and knowledge objects
*BS degree with 8-12 years of experience is desired
*Standard Benefits:*
We are seeking consultants who can work on a 1099 basis with a monthly invoice and net term 30 day payment terms. we can NOT do a corp to corp *we do 'not' pay for parking and commute and relocation expenses.*

The Splunk Engineer will architect, design and maintain Splunk infrastructure, gather requirements from customers, onboard data, and assist end users with searches, dashboards, reports, and knowledge objects
- The Splunk Engineer may be required to interact with senior management, as necessary
- Participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities.
- Experience and skills with building dashboards and alerts.
- Experience and skills using common data models, data patterns, data governance
- Drive complex security focused deployments of Splunk while working side by side with the customers and engineers to solve their unique problems across a variety of use cases
- Work with our customers and engineers to understand their security posture and requirements
- Support our security deployments by unlocking the potential of Splunk to assist our customers and engineers in achieving their Cyber Security strategy
- Collaborate across the entire organization to bring access to product and technical teams to get the right solution delivered and drive innovation gathered from customer input
- Develop dashboards/visuals within the Splunk platform via XML source, JavaScript, CSS, and advanced HTML.
- Create Splunk customer queries, reports, and alerts
- Implement knowledge objects, lookups, and data models using common data model patterns.
- Knowledge of Cloud Services such as AWS
