Job Description
Career Exploration Temporary Crew Members
As a Vital Link Career Exploration Temporary Crew Member your responsibilities include assisting department managers and coordinators with company events, arranging and assisting with set-up and delivery and wrap-up of on-ground and virtual events.
Day to Day
- Assist with the set-up operations of the assigned events
- Cleaning, adjusting and maintenance of exhibit equipment
- Instruct small group of middle school students during exhibit day activities
- Set-up and breakdown online and on-ground industry and Vital Link exhibits
- Organization of information for exhibit pages with schools, industry and colleges for exhibit and College & Career programs
- Guide and manage groups of students during on-ground pathway days, exhibit days, or college and career days
- Assist managers and coordinators during special events
- Tracking and combining evaluation results for exhibit day and College & Career fairs
Schedule Description
- All within this position are referred to as Temporary employees
- Will be scheduled on an as-needed basis for events
- All employees will be notified a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date
- The employee must provide 7 business days' notice is required for cancellation of the shift
- 48 hours notice will be given by the employer for any last-minute schedule changes
Competency Scope
- High school diploma/GED required
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
