Do you have experience in a social science research setting or working with aging and/or disabled populations? Vital Research, in collaboration with the state of Oregon, is seeking contracted Field Interviewers to conduct interviews with individuals who are receiving state services to assess participant quality of life and satisfaction with services for National Core Indicators – Aging and Disabilities (NCI-AD) projects, starting with a mandatory orientation in mid-to-late May. The project is expected to continue through early October or until all interviews are completed.
As a Field Interviewer, you will play a vital role in conducting semi-structured in-person or remote (via phone or Zoom) interviews with older adults and persons who have a physical disability from varying cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. These interviews help assess the participant’s quality of life and satisfaction with services. Core questions cover topics such as accessing essential services, communication with providers and case managers, choice of services, medical transportation, and personal safety, as well as community inclusion and empowerment.

Field interviewers MUST be available to conduct all interview modes (in-person, phone, and video) based on participant preference. All work hours (including scheduling of appointments), travel time, mileage, and supplies are included in the per-interview compensation rate.
