To thrive in this role, you must be able to:
- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
- Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
- Be patient and detailed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Medical Laboratory Science Certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
- California CLS License (Clinical Laboratory Scientist)
