Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Perform tube feeding for clients who require nutritional support.
- Provide hospice care and support to clients and their families during end-of-life stages.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living areas.
- Document client care activities and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to individuals with varying needs.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
