The Dining Services Director / Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining services program at a senior living community in Indianapolis, IN. This includes menu creation, cooking, ordering, supervising staff, and ensuring that all food service operations are in compliance with ServSafe and other regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in senior living and be a working manager who is comfortable both in the kitchen and in a supervisory role. They will have a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of residents, and will be able to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the dining program is integrated into the overall community experience.
The Dining Services Director / Chef will also be responsible for managing the budget for the dining program, ordering supplies and equipment, and ensuring that all staff are trained in proper food handling and safety procedures. They will be expected to provide excellent customer service to residents and their families, and to be responsive to feedback and concerns.
Qualifications for this position include ServSafe certification, Certified Dietary Manager certification, and experience in menu creation, cooking, and supervisory roles. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality dining services to seniors.
