Founding Growth Engineer

We’re looking for our first Growth Engineer, someone who will strategize and execute on growth experimentations. As a Growth Engineer, you'll use your technical/coding skills to drive adoption, revenue, and work across teams. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, design, marketing, and sales to help drive success across the company’s KPIs and OKRs.

This is a critical hire, and we're looking for a self-motivated generalist and talented software engineer who can take the lead on these activities and help bring Vitally to the next level.

We'd love to find someone with these traits to join the team:

• You are an exceptional engineer with excellent problem-solving skills
• You collaborate well with designers, customer-facing teammates, and other engineers to deliver helpful features and improvements with solid technical foundations.
• You are comfortable with javascript frameworks and the javascript/node ecosystem in general.
• You write beautiful and usable web interfaces with semantic HTML and clean, understandable CSS (or scss/less/css-in-javascript)
• You're familiar with common server-side systems and patterns (ORMs, job systems, MVC frameworks, restful apis, etc.)
• You have at least 6 year of professional coding experience (preferably with some focus on client-side web development)

Bonus: Have extensive experience with Node, Typescript, React, & Redux

Some work you might do:

• Rebuild our onboarding process to drive an intuitive, delightful self-serve experience
• Integrate (or build your own) product tour tool to guide users along and help increase feature adoption
• Create pre-built templates customers can use to better leverage features
• Create an SEO-optimized template library both customers and non-customers can browse and pull from to educate their Customer Success efforts
• Work with sales to create sandbox/demo environments they can leverage in the sales process
• Review existing components and features for usability and accessibility and make improvements

• Salary: We offer a competitive salary given both your experience as well as location here in NYC (although remote is also totally fine). The comp band for all engineering roles starts at $160,000 and increases based on the skill and seniority of the candidate.
