Job Posting for Ophthalmic Assistant at Vitreo-Retinal Consultants, Inc

Our practice is currently seeking full-time and part-time Ophthalmic Assistants. The Ophthalmic Assistant will be responsible for assisting the doctor with various administrative duties and will also be expected to perform various tasks related to surgery and preparation. The ideal candidate for this position has either completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field or has a strong technical background.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily examinations and screenings of patients to detect any abnormalities of the eyes.
  • Monitor patient health histories, examine medical records, and develop a treatment plan based on findings.
  • Operate equipment in making visual examinations of the eyes and other body parts.
  • Record information produced by equipment used in examinations.
  • Perform special duties in emergencies as needed.
    Travel to local satellites in the surrounding area if needed (one to four times per month).

 

Compensation: Starting at $16 per hour. Rate depends on experience
