Overview
To coordinate the Accounting functions of General Ledger, Production Reporting, Budget Preparation, Cost Estimates, Administration of Inventories, Monthly Closings, Financial Statement Preparations, and to provide accurate and timely information related to these functions.
Responsibilities
The financial analyst reports to the Director of finance. Responsibilities are as follows:
- Use accounting software SAP for work related tasks and assignments. Perform analysis of financial/cost data for the Plant and for the entire business when requested.
- Coordinate the daily run of production and shipping reporting.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Coordinate and reconcile physical inventory adjustments.
- Support monthly cost closing activities
- Review general ledger, inventory reports, etc.
- Analyze data related to Payroll.
- Update financial statements.
- Support functions related to finance, such as purchasing, production, and other administrative.
- Coordinate training when requested.
- Support Budgeting activities.
- Petty Cash controls
Responsibilities fall into two general categories: Support related financial activities of the finance department to maintain adequate control of all Accounting functions. Provide meaningful, timely and accurate reports to the Director of Information and Financial Services and Accounting Supervisor, and other plant management personnel.
The financial analyst functions include cost estimating, monthly and annual closing, inventory controls, plant production reporting, accounts payable problem resolution. The responsibility for maintenance, accuracy and operation of the various computer systems related to the Accounting functions is also within the realm of duties, as well as responsibility for proper internal controls.

Qualifications
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, COURSES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Requirements for this position include a four-year college degree or equivalent in Accounting or finance. In addition, the incumbent must possess a detailed knowledge of Accounting theory and principles and a working knowledge of computer system. Proficient in MS Excel.. Highly effective organizational, communication skills are essential to the effective performance of the incumbent's job duties. Knowledge of Accounting Systems is also a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Define the physical requirements (e.g. ability to lift 25 pounds repetitively for an 8 hour shift, ability to stand for an 8 hours shift, etc.).

Lifting / Carrying – Occasionally lifting and carrying items under 20 pound range.
Pushing / Pulling – Occasionally in short periods of 10 to 15 minutes will be required.
Climbing / Balancing – when using step ladders, and other office equipment.
Twisting / Bending – The ability to bend at the waist and twist/rotate waist may be required.
Reaching / Handling – as needed
Feeling – The environmental factors noted above require the employee to be capable of detecting and reacting to the full range of potential hazards.
Talking / Hearing / Smelling –maintain awareness of total environment when completing the functions noted, talking to team members, responding to oral instructions and emergency situations. The ability to detect changes due to, for example, heat, and chemicals used in plant is critical to both normal and emergency situations.
Vision – Visual Acuity – Clarity of vision or correction of vision at 20 inches or less.
Depth Perception – Perceive three dimensionally
