Responsibilities
· Provide on-site support to troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues with the robotic cells and systems implemented.
· Monitor the performance of existing automated systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize system downtime.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system improvements and upgrades.
· Train and educate plant personnel on the proper use and maintenance of automated systems.
· Assist with the installation and commissioning of new automated systems.
· Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed system improvements.
· Develop and maintain documentation related to automated systems, including technical manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
· Conduct regular safety inspections of automated systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
· Perform regular backups and system updates to ensure data integrity and system stability.
· Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in automation and robotics.
· Troubleshooting system errors. (software or hardware)
· Providing clients with technical support. (remote and local)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial automation systems, particularly robotic systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and robotics systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C , Java, and Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document technical information accurately.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to industrial automation systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed system improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or a related field required
- Speciality degree in Automation & Robotics preferred
- Minimum of 7 years field experience required
- Availability to travel national and international (Mexico)
- Spanish proficiency a plus
- Electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages. (controllogix 5000 - Allen Bradley, TIA portal- SIEMENS )
Technical knowledge in:
- PLC’s Allen Bradley/Siemens
- communication networks: ethernet,IOLink…
- robots ABB, FANUC ( Material handling, Glue Dispensing processes)
- Vision (Cognex, Coherix)
- Knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD
- 5 years of experience programming and implementing automation systems
