The Manager-Quality Care will serve the assigned region and have direct responsibility for working with healthcare practices and community providers in the implementation of quality initiatives targeting the Medicaid population. This position may provide direct supervision of assigned staff and will work to provide clear objectives and goals for the department. This position will work collaboratively both internally and externally to ensure timely and efficient care of Medicaid recipients and the providers who seek authorization and guidance. This position will travel to locations within the relevant service area through a reliable means of transportation insured following Company policy. This position will have work-from-home opportunities.
REQUIRED:
Education (one of the following is required):
- MSW, BSN, MS in Health Services or Public Health, Master of Health Administration
Other Requirements:
- Three years of experience in care coordination, case management, quality measure improvement in a medical or behavioral health setting, or one year of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Current RN or SW license in good standing with the appropriate State of Alabama Board (if applicable)
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- May require significant face-to-face member contact with duties regularly performed away from the principal place of business
- Willing to submit to vaccine testing and screening
- Excellent interview and telephone skills, as well as the ability to deal with recipients in a caring and helpful (assertive and tactful) manner
- Working knowledge of health-related service delivery systems
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Ability to analyze varied environmental factors about the recipients' wellbeing
- Organization and time management skills
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work effectively in a variety of settings
- Basic computer skills

- Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel
