The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of Vivalon’s facilities, including the Vivalon Active Aging Center and Transportation Facilities. This position will supervise the priorities and activities performed by the Facilities Coordinator and manage to support facilities-related contractors.

Essential Functions:

• Provide supervision and oversight of the Facilities Coordinator’s daily activities and tasks assigned, including setting priorities, monitoring work performance, and providing feedback, guidance, and mentoring as required.
• Ensure custodial-related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and necessary upkeep for the Active Aging Center and Transportation Facilities are completed daily.
• Assist Facilities Coordinator as necessary in cleaning all offices, meeting and classrooms, bathrooms, and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
• Monitor restrooms that are cleaned and sanitized as needed, including all paper and soap dispensers being properly stocked throughout the day.
• Ensure trash receptacles are emptied, washed, and sanitized, and liners are replaced; help pick up trash inside and outside of the Active Aging Center and Transportation Facilities.
• Assist the Programs Team with setups for room usage as necessary. As the day proceeds additional setups and takedowns in various rooms may be needed.
• Assist with furniture and other office setups at Vivalon properties as required.

• Transport furniture and other items between Vivalon properties and other locations.

• Reports health and safety hazard concerns to management.

• Maintain and perform repairs at a variety of Vivalon facilities as required; inspect for compliance with maintenance standards.
• Repair cabinets and countertops; perform minor repairs on doors, windows, floors, lockers, gates, roofs, and ceilings.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning maintenance activities.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance (pest control, weed control, parking lot maintenance, etc.).
• Requisition and maintain custodial supplies and equipment; stock inventory of maintenance materials and supplies.
• Work with potential vendors to prepare cost estimates and work order requests to submit to the CFO for budget approval and submit justifications for needed equipment as needed.
• Submit requests to vendors for materials, supplies, and equipment; and maintain appropriate records.
• Perform a variety of general duties including the pick-up and delivery of materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of experience performing maintenance/janitorial tasks, with at least one year of supervision
• Ability to perform custodial-related duties and maintenance tasks to a high standard.
• Sufficient knowledge of various janitorial supplies, equipment, and methods
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and vendors
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
