Key responsibilities include: Analyze forecasted demand across various sales channels, products, and warehouse locations to develop and execute weekly supply plans. These plans should align with Vivint’s financial goals and Supply Chain KPIs. Fully understand the relationship between the supply plan, lead time, safety stock, and production capacity to build a successful plan to support sales, while achieving and exceeding inventory turn targets. Regularly analyze open purchase orders, purchase order adjustments, and changes in demand to adjust the supply plan accordingly, while working with the appropriate groups for corrective action. Partner with Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure timely and accurate supply, understanding of critical needs, and improvements in contracts and terms to support business goals. In addition, provide NPI cutover strategies to Sourcing and Product Management to reduce E&O and increase sales opportunities. Partner with the Sales Organization on historical and future changes in demand, through sales promotions, price adjustments, and business strategy shifts. Partner with Field Planning to understand changes in demand at the micro level, using trends from Market Intelligence to predict macro changes in demand and changes to the supply plan. Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to management, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. Ability to do scenario planning with many complex and ambiguous variables, in order to drive to the optimal supply plan with the least risk Procure goods and materials consistent with material and delivery requirements Supplier negotiations related to the continuity of supply Manage master data, purchase order execution, and other tasks in the day-to-day management of obtaining finished goods Support in supplier quality issues Maintain supplier relationships that encourage participation and contributions (processes, ideas, and improvements) and initiate actions required to maintain their performance at a high level Primary liaison between supplier and Vivint when quality and supply issues arise Participate with Strategic Sourcing to measure supplier performance Manage the buying of certain electronic finished goods to support distribution to field technicians without interruption Support and lead continuous improvement projects Resolve supply constraints and ensure suppliers’ capability/capacity to meet our needs. Help lead supplier scorecard evaluation and coach suppliers as needed.
