Associate Manager of Content Acquisition

The Business Development team at VIZIO is looking for an Associate Manager of Business Development, Content Acquisition to join us. In this role, you will work closely will all members of the Content Acquisition team, internal teams, and external partners, on content deals and deal support, to manage all content submissions, the valuation and selection of those submissions, and the analysis of the content needs for VIZIO’s WatchFree service. You will analyze performance data and derive strategic recommendations. You will work with content partners to identify and organize content submissions and become an expert of the content being offered. You will liaison between Content Acquisition, Partner Management, and Programming & Engagement to ensure there is a clear understanding of Content Acquisition’s acquisition strategy, the rationale for Content Acquisition’s commitments, “what’s next” on the roadmap, and the rationale and timing for the deals Content Acquisitions is working on.

You will build strong relationships with VIZIO’s content partners to ensure VIZIO is up to date on all available and newly arriving content. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure Content Acquisitions is well informed on the programming needs of the organization related to programming stunts, marketing initiatives, content gaps, best performers, etc.

This diverse set of responsibilities requires a deep understanding of the partner’s content offering and KPIs/goals, as well as the ability to paint a clear and compelling vision around how we will work collaboratively to drive great results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for content, data, and monetization.

This is a full-time position based in Irvine, CA or New York, NY, and reports to the Senior Director of Content Acquisitions.

• Work with senior members of CA team on content review and deal negotiations.
• Work with Sr. Director of CA to generate acquisition roadmap based on content needs for FAST, AVOD and Curated Channels.
• Work closely with Partnership Management and at times, the Data & Insights team to derive valuations for potential new content partners and renewals for existing deals.
• Manage incoming content avails for AVOD and Curated Channels.
• Own all runs through the Content Acquisition Tool, and work with CA on content selection for live deals.
• Manage all aspects for the AVOD and Curated Channels content database and ensure that Finance has all reporting that it needs to report and pay Partners.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A minimum education level of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience generating insights from data sets and providing recommendations.
• Experience implementing and managing strategic initiatives and communication of such initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience in a client/external facing role.
• Experience in both the hardware and software industries; CTV a plus.
• Expert in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent cross-functional leadership skills.
• Clear written and oral communication.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):
• Experience working with data management and analytics teams to generate new and necessary analyses and reporting for management presentations.
• Experience with reviewing content avails and evaluating content for CTV platform.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $56,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $72,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.

For New York-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $58,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $74,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
