Performs day to day and periodical maintenance required to keep the community in accordance with Home Owner Association (HOA) guidelines.
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Salary: Full time hourly based on Experience and Abilities
Ideal Candidate: Should have knowledge of general building and maintenance skills. Be a self-starter and be able to take direction from others. Candidate should be able to multitask. Pool maintenance certification and experience a plus.
Skills Required: Candidate must possess effective communication skills.
Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and physical.
Skills Desired: Good physical condition to be able to perform basic job requirements.
Standard Job
Description: Maintenance personnel shall be responsible for all day to day and periodic maintenance of HOA grounds and facilities. Maintenance personnel shall coordinate all tasking with the Maintenance Supervisor. Report any maintenance issues, vendor and non-vendor, to the Maintenance Supervisor. Report inventory needs and purchase request to Maintenance Supervisor. Shall report any vandalism, damage or safety issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintenance shall maintain the three pool areas located at the clubhouse to the high standards required by Vista Lakes.
Specific Job
Description: Daily Tasks:
1. Maintain quality cleanliness in pool. Maintain pool area safety.
2. Pick up trash on HOA property including Vista Park, Amhurst Park, and Newport Park, tennis courts and Amenities Center area.
3.Check trash receptacles and dog stations at Amhurst Park, Newport Park and Vista Park as well as Residents’ Club and change as necessary..
4 Relay deviations from scheduled maintenance by vendors to the Community Director and report progress, completion and/or problems.
5. Maintenance will serve on Hurricane Preparedness Team and operations.
6. Drag baseball field at least once a week.
7. Check and replace light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed.
8. Repair and/or replace broken or damaged items [signs, playground equipment, fences, etc.]
9. . Repair screening on tennis court fence.
10. Pressure wash common areas [Residents’ Club buildings and deck, fountain features, roofs, pirate ship, etc.].
11. Repaint perimeter beams of pools and pavilion steps.
12. Projects [install bulletin boards on mail kiosks, repair furniture, install signs, keep pavers in pool area level, etc.]. Paint buildings inside and out as directed by Maintenance Supervisor. Be able to lift 50lbs.
